Ross’s 1922 layout uses natural glacial contours and strategic angles to test placement over raw distance.
Tailored practice grounds mirror the ground game, bump-and-run demands, and subtle fall-aways of Ross’s green complexes.
In 1963, Geoffrey Cornish expanded the routing with the 11th and 12th holes, preserving the original land flow and native tree lines.
The Club Rhythm
An ordinary Saturday moves from early practice to eighteen holes and lunch; the afternoon divides between the range, pool and junior golf.

Stewardship
Founded in 1889, the club moved to its present ground in 1916–17. Donald Ross’s expanded layout opened in 1922; Geoffrey Cornish added today’s 11th and 12th holes in 1963.
